New in & swatched : Essence mono eyeshadows & bronzer

Hi everyone!

A while ago I shopped some eyeshadows from Essence because it was a buy3pay2 kind of thing and whilst looking around I decided to finally pick up bronzer and starting to use that in my make-up routine.

 

I love the off-white and the bronze eyeshadow. The off-white became my go-to browbone colour and the bronze has such a beautiful and warm colour, great for a quick bronzy smokey eye.

But I'm not such a fan of the minty green one. The colour payoff isn't great and the shadow hardly shows up on the eye. But I kind of expected that from a €1,29 eyeshadow. Though I must say I like the new packaging! They're opening way more easier and no worries breaking or damaging your manicure! (*first world problems!*)

I've been using the bronzer for a while now, and I like it, but it's still that tad to warm for my skintone... I can't really say much about it since I've never used other bronzers!

Essence - Upper green side

Hi everyone!

This green is one of the updated essence collection and absolutely in love with it! It's kind of a pastel colour but at the same time it pops! Very pretty! I totally recommand this to every greenlover.

To add more fun, I topped it off with glitter, woohooooo!

NOTD Essence Pop Pastel Blue

Hi everyone!

Lately I've really been into blues! Just wanted to show you this beautiful one! It's Essence's Pop Pastel Blue; i'm in looooove! It covers in 2 layers and applies smooth, no complaints!

I topped it off with a casuelle duochromy-ish topper, but the photograph just isn't showing it's beauty. The topper shifts from a purple to gold shimmer, soooo pretty!

Is there a particular new polish, or colour you've been into lately?

Essence - Grey-t to be here

Here's Grey -t to be here by essence.  I bought for the amazing pink shimmer that it's showing off in its bottle, but as you see, not on the nail :(

Essence - Chic reloaded

Hi everyone :)

I have these pictures on my computer for a long time but didn't feel like posting them... (I have no idea why).
Anyways, exams are coming up and that explains my lack of inspiration to do my nail :(

About Chic reloaded... I was a bit disappointed when I put him on... The duochrome (green to purple) is visible (subtile) but in a way less awesome way than in the bottle. Duochrome polishes always seem to let down :/ and still I buy every bottle that meets the eye :p

Quickly reviewed: Hazelnut Cream Pie - Essence Nude Glam

Hi everyone !

It took some while before I jumped on the nude nailtrain, but I'm really starting to like them. This is Hazelnut cream pie from the 'older bottled' essene nude glam collection that retails for €1,29 ( I think ).

It's a simple beigy nude with a cute pink shimmer in the bottle but not so much on your nails. You notice the shimmer when a loads of light are shining on your nails and it makes it sooo pretty. Too bad I couldn't capture it on photo :(

Covers in two layers, nicely opaque, great application :)

Quicklaaay reviewed : Grumpy and The Huntsman - Essence Snowwhite LE

Let's start with saying that I absolutely loooooved the Snow White collection from essence, soooo adorable! Today I'm showing off with Grumpy. I actually bought this colour for the name alone, because some friends call my boyfriend Grumpy for several understandeable reasons :p

I topped my ringfinger off with a coat of the glittertopper 'The Huntman'. A great warm golden topper with larger flakies, mixed under the gold.

The colour is stunning, opaque in 2 layers but start showing tipwear rather fast. The colour is my favourite kind of blue (for now). Makes me think of Calvinblue. I saw the painting that Calvin made (simple a canvas painted in this blue) and I was completely enchanted and hypnotized! 

I had to go to a familydinner (Guillaume's grandmother celebrated her birthday) but I forgot my belt at home, so I ran to the Pimkie like a mad person and actually found a belt; matching my nails! How awesome is that?!

Completely in love with this polish and belt <3

Quicklaaay reviewed: Carribean Sea - Essence

Hi everyone :)

Today I have a gorgeous polish for you that I ruined by using my basecoat wrong? I didn't shake the bottle so I assume that the base just wasn't dry enough.

The polish is part of the 'feet'collection of essence and isn't available in Belgium. (I never saw it in a store in Belgium). Not only does the polish cover in 2 layers, essence says the polish contains anti bacterials... Don't know if it's true, but I have the feeling that this polish has a stronger scent than the other Essence polishes.

In the bottle Carribean Sea shows off a very pretty duochrome that's almost unnoticeable on the nail. Pitty :(

Overall it's a good polish, lovely shade, good coverage, no long drying time!

The rainbow Challenge: Orange & Yellow

Hi everyone :)

Yesterday, I didn't have a computer to upload my pictures on, so a double post today!

My favourite orange is a neon orange from crazy colour and Mellow yellow from essence is my fav yellow.
The orange covers bad, but with a white under it's stunning. (Too lazy to do that.)

The orange is way brighter irl. Nevertheless, hope you like the colours too!

Quicklaaay reviewed: Glorius Aquarius - Essence

Hi everyone !

Check out this amaaaaazing topper! It's glorious aquarius. Applies like a charm, but you have to manipulate the glitters a bit to sparse them evenly. It contains larger teal hexes and smaller round teal glitters. I think I can see some multicoloured little glitters and red orangy hexes and from time to time some green peaks out! PRETTY !

Duochrome and flakies : AWESOME

Pastel skittles!

I never jumped on the boat of the skittle trend. I always found it very ridiculous looking on myself, but stunning on others. Bleeurg. I like it more when there's something 'more' going on, like rhinestones or nailart...
I gave it another try but I 'm still not a fan of it.

I purchased this polish thanks to a blogsale from Jessica Heasley, thanks!

This polish is part of the coloricon 'Bejeweled' collection from wet n wild, generally seen as the dupes for the ChG prismatic collection.

Polish looks gorgeous, went on really easily and covered in three layers. Dried rather fast. The main difference with the prismatic polishes is (in my opinion) that this one is way more duochromy and less glittery, but still looks gorgeous. I personally prefer the ChG ones, mainly because I prefer glitter to duochrome...

And now some pictures that DON'T DO JUSTICE AT ALL to the polish! The pictures are washed out, I think. Because the polish has a cool blue and a purple duochrome effect... Really nice :)
